Painful experiences can often make our bodies feel like a painful place to be and so to cope - we often ‘check out’. I believe this disconnection from our bodies has become chronic in today’s world and what was a nervous system strategy born to help us survive, is now working on overdrive. Keeping us stuck in suffering.

 

With tools to find safety, awareness and connection - I'm convinced that we can find our way back to our bodies and our health. Breaking free from the patterns and stories held in the past to land back home to ourselves in the present - rediscovering our full human be-ing potential.

 

The mindful modalities I work with, from trauma-informed bodywork to sound therapies are practiced with the aim to facilitate this homecoming. To relax, rebalance and regulate the nervous system. Helping to move the body out of stuck or overstimulated survival reflexes to re-arrive into a more grounded and engaged sense of self.

 

All of my practices are undertaken with a whole body approach. Referencing the whole you, not the 'hole' in you to promote lasting body-mind wellness. The goal, no matter the process, is holding space for you to feel safe enough to meet your full self in. To empower you and the wisdom of your own body.

 

My personal experience through mental health and trauma recovery ignited this mission to hold space for others with the practices that continue to support my journey. I feel it’s important to keep normalising stress, pain and our bodies responses to them as something we can all experience being human but with the right support, practice and tools that work for you, can and does change the quality of your life for the better.
